John + Manita Wedding

I had such a great time with John and Manita. The love was palpable and Manita really knew how to work it! And I'm so glad she made the choice to meet in the Plaza in front of the Oregon State Capitol building with all the cherry trees gorgeous in bloom! Congratulations John and Manita!

i {heart} faces "Wind"

This week's i♥faces theme is wind.

I discovered a few things in contemplating this theme:

1. As the mother to 3 boys, my personal work is not filled with flowy blowing hair.
2. My professional work has apparently not encountered much wind, nor do we really get that much wind here compared to other places I've lived.
3. Even when we go to the beach where there's lots of wind, I still have boys and the cold Oregon beaches inspire the use of hats anyway.

Thus, I'm going with this rare self-portrait of my husband and I atop the Columbia River Gorge where it is always very windy. In fact, it felt like we were going to be blown off the cliff here.

Rainbow | Landscape Photography

During Spring Break I caught this rainbow on a trip back from the coast and thought this photo turned out lovely for racing down the highway!

Aaron + Bobbi Wedding

It's been so busy around here and I've been a bad blogger, but I'm breaking the silence with a selection of Aaron and Bobbi's (anxiously awaited!) wedding pictures!
We had such amazingly gorgeous weather which was a real blessing considering this time in Oregon is a lot of rain and more rain.

Snowy Rhododendrons | Fine Art Photography

We had some snow the other day and with a the sun shining beautifully at sunset, I took some macro pictures of our snow-tipped rhododendron bushes.

Sometimes you find birds in the strangest places and that's exactuly what that little symbol looks like to me. Maybe this post should be called "Fire Hydrant" but I just really like that bird.

Bellevue, WA Downtown Park

Bellevue, Washington's Downtown Park has a large grassy center circle with a canal surrounding half of it and a waterfall which seemed to be the popular hangout for the sea gulls. The ducks in the canal weren't shy either, they happily came swimming over for a photoshoot.

What? You say they weren't interested in the camera?

Oh, right. I guess they were looking for bread. Boy was I a disappointment!







The twin buildings are the Bellevue Towers which are luxury condos.
